2008 Submissions

Our mission is to show both student and professional work. We are most interested in experimental pieces and unconventional thinking. We want to bring this art form to more people who may not have access to it. We also want to give artists more chances to share their work. Screening choices will be decided on a first come, first served policy.

All submissions must be received by Friday, April 25th.

Email notifications will be sent upon receipt of the submission. Only one submission will be accepted from each applicant.

Please send a clearly marked DVD and an accompanying document listing title, director/choreographer, dancers, music, etc. Selected videos must be clearly edited and include all titles and credits. Any genre is acceptable as long as the emphasis is on screen dance. All time lengths are acceptable, however if your piece is longer than 10 minutes it may not be shown in its entirety.

DVDs will remain in the Iowa State University Dance Archives.

Please note that 30 second excerpts or still images from selected pieces may appear on the tarlafest.com website following the screening.  This is for promotional uses only.  The creator of the project remains the sole proprietor of his/her work.

The submission is FREE of charge. As well, the screening will be FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC.
